Christmas 2006

On Christmas Eve, the kids went outside and sprinkled "Reindeer Food" out for the reindeer. They were very serious about it - and seemed very happy to make sure the reindeer had plenty to eat. (The mixture consisted of oats and red/green sprinkles). Christmas morning, most of the reindeer food was gone - so they were glad to see that the reindeer had gotten plenty to eat.

And here they are... bright and early Christmas morning! Konnor was the first to wake up. He came out, looked at everything, told me he needed something to eat, and then went and got his pillow and blanket and layed down in front of the presents and fell back to sleep! The excitement of Christmas morning was probably too much, so he got up - but his body was still too tired to stay awake! He woke up about 10 minutes later and went in and got Kaylee up. And Christmas 2006 began...

Kaylee got princess shoes - and pretty princess make-up! You can't tell in the picture (below)... but she has tons of blue eyeshadow on and sparkly pink lipstick! She also made sure to put on a skirt so she could feel pretty with her pink princess shoes!

Konnor asked Santa for a sword. Luckily Santa found out that Grandma Bette had already gotten one for him - so he didn't need to bring it on his sleigh. Konnor was super excited as he opened the sword. We asked him what he was going to do with it and he said, "Fight the monsters!"

The kids were excited when Santa brought a couple of games - "Candy Land" and "Sorry." Our little next door neighbor, Abby, came over later in the day and they played "Candy Land" together. Konnor won. The kids love playing games... but it's no surprise since their Daddy is the "Game Guru!"

Kenna sat there the entire time... and was perfectly content grabbing the paper and seeing what noise it made. She also enjoyed eating it - although we think we got most of it before it made it to her tummy! She thought the ribbon was pretty tasty too.
