Our trip to Hilton Head Island, SC

Kendahl's parents came for a visit and so we decided to go for a few days to Hilton Head, SC to the beach while they were here. We had a great time! The kids loved the ocean and playing in the sand and looking for sea shells. We even saw a jellyfish which had washed up on shore. They caught sand crabs and had fun watching them run around in the bucket they had filled with water and sand. We enjoyed the beauty of the island and ate some yummy food (we made sure to eat some sea food while we were there, of course!) We also went to the lighthouse - but we got caught in thunder storm and couldn't take any pictures because we didn't want the camera getting wet. All in all, it was a great trip and something we will definitely look back on with lots of fun memories! Now we just need to try and get all of the sand out of the car... That's probably not possible!

Here are the kids right before they got into the water...

The kids loved playing in the sand and building sand castles!

Kenna loved the water and had NO fear!

A few days before we left, Konnor learned how to write his name. Grandma told him that when we got to the beach, he could write his name in the sand. He remembered what she said ... and wrote his name three times without anyone helping him!

We thought it would be fun to bury Konnor. The sand was pretty packed down so we couldn't dig down very easily - so we just covered him up. He thought it was just as cool.

Grandma Johnson and Konnor... I wonder where Konnor got his smile??

Here is a video of all the fun ...

Wow, that looked like fun! The kids all looked so cute. Owen watched it all though twice, and kept saying, "I wish i could go to the beach with my cousins." He also thought Kaylee and Konnor were very brave to ride the waves! Great job, as always, the music was perfect!
